Īshwarapraṇidhāna: Let Go & Let God

A Four-Week Journey into Surrender, Alignment & Grace

Most of us have been taught how to strive.

Most of us know how to give up and flop.

Very few of us have been taught how to surrender.

Whether you come from the world of yoga or the world of 12 Step recovery, you've probably heard phrases like Let Go and Let God, Thy Will Be Done, or Surrender the Fruits of Your Actions. They sound beautiful and we know they are key to our recovery, healing, and spiritual progress.

But how do we do actually it?

How do we actually surrender without becoming passive?

What are we ACTUALLY surrendering to?

How do we discern the difference between giving up and letting go?

How do we discover a life that is guided by something deeper than fear, habit, ambition, or self-will?

These are not abstract spiritual questions. They are daily practices.

ईश्वरप्रणिधान Īshwarapraṇidhāna

In Yoga Philosophy, one of the central observances (niyamas) is īshwarapraṇidhāna—the practice of surrendering ourselves to the Divine. It is one of the most powerful and misunderstood teachings in all of yoga.

Many consider īshwarapraṇidhāna to be the MOST ESSENTIAL yoga teaching. We agree.

For four weeks, we'll explore this teaching deeply—not as philosophy alone, but as a living practice.

We'll draw from the wisdom of yoga, while also exploring resonant teachings and sacred poetry from other mystical traditions, including Mystical Christianity and Sufism. Along the way, we'll look at themes such as offering, devotion, prayer, humility, purpose, and living in alignment with something greater than ourselves.

Align with the Divine

This isn't about becoming more religious.

It's about becoming more available.

More available to grace.

More available to truth.
More available to the life that is trying to live through you.

It's about learning how to create and live a vision that is in alignment with God's will for us and our life.

One of the guiding principles is the 11th Step from the 12 Step Traditions:

We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God (as we understood God) praying only for the knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out.

Each week you'll receive practical guidance for bringing surrender into everyday life through meditation, contemplation, prayer, and reflective writing. Between sessions, we'll be practicing together with daily writing prompts and ongoing support to help make these teachings real—not just inspiring ideas that disappear by Tuesday morning.

If you've ever felt exhausted by trying to force your life...
If you've wondered whether there is another way...
If you're ready to discover what happens when effort becomes aligned with grace...

I'd love to have you with us.
