Online March 14 - April 4

The eight limbs of yoga, as outlined by Sage Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtra, are well-known in the yoga world.
Yama (यम), Niyama (नियम), Āsana (आसन), Prāṇāyāma (प्राणायाम), Pratyāhāra (प्रत्याहार), Dhāraṇā (धारणा), Dhyāna (ध्यान), and Samādhi (समाधि) provide eight essential elements of a mystical, soul-centric, and transformational approach to deep spiritual practice.

We’re so excited to teach on the eight limbs from the point of view of Kundalini Mahāyoga. This year, we will focus especially on the path of Bhakti Yoga.

This is a different way of looking at the eight limbs. They are not about “doing yoga” — they are about learning to tap into, awaken, cultivate, relate to, and surrender to the Divine Power that lives within us all. This power is known as Kundalinī Shakti, also known as the Inner Guru. Every yogi and yogini relates to the Divine Power in a different way, but no matter how they relate to it, the work of the 8 Limbs will help them.

Needless to say, this material will not be covered in any 200 hour yoga teacher training. Modern expressions of yoga - especially within the western yoga class industry, do not cover these teachings or dimensions of the teachings.

Harshada has been teaching yoga in many forms for more than 30 years, combining traditional Tantra, Vedānta, Haṭha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Kundalinī Mahāyoga as taught by Bhagavān Nityānanda. In this course, he will teach this “traditional” yoga philosophy material from a unique point of view, weaving in teachings from traditional Tantra, Nityānanda’s Chidakāśa Gīta, Bhagavad Gita, Bhakti Sutra, and other sources not usually associated with Patañjali’s Yoga.

Enjoy four weeks of deep diving into the experience of Mahāyoga with Harshada as he takes you through the eight limbs, covering two each week:

Week One: Yama and Niyama — The importance of Śuddha Bhāvana (clear intention, ethical living, pure attitude, and optimal energetic orientation).
Week Two: Āsana and Prāṇāyāma — True embodiment: activating and aligning the body and life force.
Week Three: Pratyāhāra and Dhāraṇā — Taking command of our attention and learning to work with subtle energy.
Week Four: Dhyāna and Samādhi — Connecting with and surrendering to the Divine within our being and in everything.

Each class will feature a live online group session with Harshada and guided meditations for each section. For keen students, he will also offer homework practices and an immersion-level option for the course, which includes private sessions with him.

Who is this for?

  • Keen practitioners of yoga who want to go deeper.
  • Meditators who want to have a deep and holistic mystical meditation practice.
  • Anyone who wants to learn how to cultivate a Divine Connection within themselves.
  • Yoga teachers of any level.
  • Practitioners of Bhakti Yoga
  • Anyone who enjoys Harshada's courses.

We want everyone to be able to do the course so we have four different levels of enrollment:

  • Standard: Four weeks of the course and all supplemental materials
  • Discount: Full course access for people with financial hardship
  • Pay It Forward: Pay a little extra if you can and help us provide discounts and scholarships for this course and others
  • Mentorship: Course access plus four private sessions with Harshada

The Eight Limbs Course will be coming on the heels of Harshada's most recent pilgrimage to India. The inspiration for the repetition of the course came while he was there leading the Pilgrimage Retreat. In Alandi, the resting place of Jnāneshwar Mahāraj, Harshada's inner voice told him that this course should be offered every year

Is this related to Kundalinī Yoga taught by Yogi Bhajan?
No. Not at all. That practice is a completely different thing. The term "kundalinī" is a universal term, not a brand name or a style of yoga. Our lineage is completely different the practices and teachings we focus on are totally different.
